Web X.0 Media is an Internet think tank based on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Washington — a unique and charming community covering about 28 square miles and roughly 30 minutes from downtown Seattle by ferry. A wonderful combination of farms, quiet harbors, wineries, hiking trails and local arts welcomes visitors to Bainbridge Island all year around.
Web X.0 Media is a startup passionate about making the Web a better place. So far we’re best known for our work on CTQ Media and iSixSigma.com (acquired by Schofield Media Group in February 2008, re-purchased in November 2011), but we have launched many other portals and services and have a lot of other exciting and interesting projects in the pipeline. We are strong believers in building online communities and social experiences that improve intelligence. While we’re based on Bainbridge Island, our team works from places all around the world.
Founded by a pair of bright engineers and business leaders, Web X.0 Media extends its Internet roots as far back as 1996. In the early days of social networking, the founders built a respected reputation for innovation, execution and customer service within The Mining Company (now About.com, acquired in March 2005 by The New York Times Company), NASA, General Electric and Citigroup.
Web X.0 Media was founded in 2009 and is privately funded.
